This hand-carved and cast pendant is Ken Fury's original version of the crescent symbol. The crescent became an iconic symbol integrated into Indigenous and Hispanic jewelry in the American Southwest, often called "Naja." The symbol represents the crescent moon and has been used by various cultures worldwide, including the Moors and Spanish, who used it on their horse's bridles as a powerful talisman for protection. The crescent symbol is also interpreted as a symbol of fertility, intuition, and creativity with its center representing a child in the womb.
